2095 - Policy on WCC Scholarships

The general purpose of student scholarships is to enhance and assure the accessibility of Washtenaw Community College to all constituents within the Washtenaw Community College district. These scholarships will not reduce or replace existing student financial aid programs funded by other sources. The funding of the scholarships will be a partnership between the college and the Washtenaw Community College Foundation. The level of college funding will be determined through the annual general fund budgeting process.

The significant outcomes of this policy are: (1) to provide scholarship funds for students and potential students who meet specific criteria, (2) to increase enrollment, and (3) to encourage specific constituents to choose Washtenaw Community College as their college of choice.
