General Policy Statement
Washtenaw Community College may memorialize deceased members of the College community who have made significant contributions to the College programs and mission during their lifetimes.
General Policy Guidelines
The name of each person to be honored may be included on an appropriate plaque to be placed in a prominent location on campus. The College may also accept other tributes if full funding is provided by family, friends, and/or colleagues. Examples of such tributes include provision for a named scholarship, contribution to the WCC scholarship fund, benches, outdoor seating, bricks, and other such appropriate items. The Office of Development shall implement this policy by establishing appropriate guidelines for memorial tributes.
