Ava Attari serves as the Director of Higher Education Partnerships with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) leading the state’s effort to cultivate, retain, and attract key postsecondary talent for Michigan businesses and supporting students in obtaining STEM/in-demand careers in Michigan.
Ava has spent her career in the public sector, working primarily with nongovernmental organizations and most recently with Michigan state government. Just before joining MEDC, Ava worked with the Office of Sixty by 30 to design, implement, and manage ground-breaking state scholarship programs aimed at increasing the state’s postsecondary attainment and addressing the state’s skills gap.
Ava holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University.
