Learn how to recognize and de-escalate conflict
The course will be taught by David J. Monroe, a retired police detective with 35 years of law enforcement experience. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He was also a member of the Washtenaw Metro County Crisis Negotiation Team. Monroe has taught classes on Managing the Mental Health Crisis and De- escalation Strategies.
This course will provide you with strategies on how to recognize when a situation is escalating and what de-escalation techniques can be effective. Role play exercises are included.
