Want a head start on getting a job after you graduate? Then be sure to attend WCC’s Internship Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Morris Lawrence building.
About 30 employers will be on hand to discuss internship opportunities with their organizations. Some of the employers that will attend include:
- Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan
- Plastipak Packaging Inc.
- Norgren Automation Solutions
- Thetford Corp.
- University of Michigan Health System—Medical Center IT
“Employers from all fields have embraced the idea of having internships within their organizations as a way of developing new talent for their businesses,” said Dave Wildfong, an advisor in WCC’s Center for Career Success office. “Plus, interns often have a leg up over other external candidates, as they have an opportunity to create a positive reputation for themselves within the organizations where they’re interning.”
The Internship Fair is free to attend. People who plan to attend are asked to register by calling Center for Career Success at 734-677-5155 or going online at WCC’s Career Connect website.
