Ann Arbor, Mich., March 28, 2017 – The Washtenaw Community College Board of Trustees approved a one-percent tuition increase for on-campus in-district students at the March board meeting today. Tuition rate increases also were approved for all distance learning, out-district, out-state and international students. Fees were unaffected.
"Washtenaw Community College remains incredibly affordable and offers extremely competitive rates for both on-campus and online students," said WCC Dr. President Rose B. Bellanca. "For example, WCC has the third lowest in-district tuition rate per credit hour out of 28 comparable community colleges, and WCC's in-district tuition rate is more than 11% less than the average tuition rate of those colleges."
The tuition rate increase for on-campus in-district students is less than the rate of inflation, which was 2.7% for the 12 months ending February 2017.
The new tuition rates go into effect for Fall 2017 semester.
