Life Sciences

Overview

The Life Sciences Department offers courses that help you understand the living world from cells to ecosystems. Learn more about yourself and your world while taking classes for general interest, to transfer to a 4-year college or university, or to prepare for a variety of health programs.

Our courses are current, challenging, and fun. Students learn in a variety of ways ranging from lab exercises to independent projects to field trips. Our laboratories are modern and well-equipped. You might find yourself studying human anatomy in the cadaver lab, measuring body composition in the exercise science lab, doing gel electrophoresis in genetics, or observing pond animals in the WCC Nature Area.
