We’ve streamlined the process of enrolling if you’re an apprentice or journey-level member of the UA.
Step 1: Apply to WCC
You can apply for free! There is no fee when you apply for admission to WCC.
Step 2: Submit transcripts
Send in any official college transcripts from previous institutions — if applicable — to:
Washtenaw Community College
Student Records, attn: UA
4800 East Huron River Dr
Ann Arbor MI 48105-4800
Only official copies, sent unopened, and directly from the issuing institution will be accepted. Copies and faxes are unacceptable. Please allow 3-4 weeks for evaluation. Transfer results will be sent to the student by mail. You can read more about transferring credit into WCC here.
Step 3: Submit apprenticeship credit request on union letterhead
Use the Apprenticeship Request Form.
Step 4: Register
Construction Supervision classes
To start the process, fill out the online Construction Supervision registration request form. You must be a UA member in good standing to register for classes.
General Education classes
If you’d like to pursue an associate degree, you also need to register separately for general education classes. Register for these classes online through MyWCC . You can finish the construction supervision classes and then take the general education classes, or you can take them at the same time.
View the current class schedule.
Step 5: Pay your tuition
- Online: Visit MyWCC to pay your bill. Here is an option to pay the total amount or to pay in installments. You can authorize others, such as a guardian, to pay on your behalf.
- In person: Visit the Cashier’s Office in the Student Center.
- Authorize a third party, such as your employer, to pay on your behalf.
Step 6: Buy your books
Each class lists the required books and supplies, including their cost. Get your textbooks, supplies, and snacks at the Barnes & Noble bookstore on the first floor of the Student Center Building.
- Save time and money—order your books online at washtenaw.bncollege.com.
