In addition to Washtenaw Technical Middle College, WCC is the educational partner for the following early middle college programs.
Dexter Early Middle College (DEMC)
DEMC’s mission is to support the transition between high school and college for students who seek a post-secondary experience with structured support and regular communication. Dexter Early Middle College is a 13-year experience giving students an opportunity to develop their skills in high school while earning a diploma and possibly an associate’s degree with our local community college. The program provides many unique post-secondary paths and extended learning opportunities.
Kensington Woods Early College
The Kensington Woods Schools Early College Program allows students to earn up to an associate degree or a career/technical certificate in addition to their high school diploma over a 5-year course of study.
The Kensington Woods Early College program is designed with the Kensington Woods mission in mind - developing strong relationships with students to support their academic success. The Early College program will provide support to students throughout their 13th year, supporting to and through the transition to college. Kensington Woods Early College students stay connected to the Kensington Woods family while they become successful college students.
Livingston County Early College
The Livingston Early College program allows students to earn 30-60 college credits in high school with free tuition and books. Most programs start with a full college schedule in the student’s senior year (grade 12), while others are an integration of college and high school courses.
Students will have continual guidance in adjusting to college deadlines and calendars as they go through the program. They will also learn to advocate for themselves and transition into a college student. Students postpone receiving their high school diploma until they complete their 13th year of school. In year 13, they continue with a full college schedule, complete a 40-hour internship, and gain knowledge about learning and career opportunities. Livingston local school districts cover the cost of tuition and books. Districts include Brighton Area Schools, Fowlerville Community Schools.
Plymouth-Canton Early Middle College
P-CCS Early Middle College is a rigorous five-year high school program that combines both high school and college degree requirements. Students can earn an associate degree (up to 60 college credits) or certificate along with their high school diploma by the end of the fifth year.
Students are enrolled in a focused program of study and have access to support services which enhance their success. Tuition and fees are paid by the school district up to an allocated amount.
Ypsilanti STEMM Middle College
Ypsilanti STEMM Middle College earned endorsement from the State of Michigan in 2015.
The Ypsilanti STEMM Middle College is working with the Michigan Early/Middle College Association (MEMCA), the Michigan Department of Education and Washtenaw Community College to significantly increase the high school, collegiate and post-secondary success and completion rate of Ypsilanti youth. Ypsilanti STEMM Middle College students have the opportunity to complete a college certificate or associate degree along with their high school diploma.
